![]() ![]() In this post, we take a look at Deepfake and ask whether we should be worried about it.Ī Deepfake is the use of machine (“ deep“) learning to produce a kind of fake media content – typically a video with or without audio – that has been ‘doctored’ or fabricated to make it appear that some person or persons did or said something that in fact they did not. One area which has received increasing attention in the last couple of years is the ability to create ‘Deepfakes’ of audio and video content using generative adversarial networks or GANs. ![]() ![]() We hear a lot about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning being used for good in the Cybersecurity world – detecting and responding to malicious and suspicious behavior to safeguard the enterprise – but like many technologies, AI can be used for bad as well as for good.
